  • PBIS Teacher of the Month for September 2015
    Our PBIS Teacher of the Month is Ms. Soliz.  Ms. Soliz teaches 6th Grade English Language Arts.  She is new to East Hoke Middle School, however, she has quickly become a part of the East Hoke Middle School Team!  Thank you Ms. Soliz!!

    The East Hoke Eagles' Team would like to congratulate Mr. McPhatter for being named "Hoke County's Custodian of the Year"! Mr. McPhatter has always made sure that East Hoke is a clean and inviting place where students can learn and teachers can teach!  Thank you for all you do!

  • Hoke County Teacher of the Year!!
    The East Hoke Middle School Team would like to congratulate Ms. Ricablanca for being selected Hoke County Schools "Teacher of the Year 2015-2016" Ms. Ricablanca goes above and beyond everyday to ensure that the students at East Hoke are motivated, engaged and actively involved in their education.  She always has a smile for everyone and is a thoroughly positive and caring person.  Ms. Ricablanca strives for excellence each day and expects that her students are always reaching for excellence in everything they do!  We could not be more proud of her!

  • EHMS Wins at the 2015 NC Science and Engineering State Competition

    Please help me congratulate two of our students
     who placed 1st and 2nd in the 2015 North Carolina Science and Engineering State Competition last March 27-28, 2015 at Meredith College, Raleigh, North Carolina. 

    Lea Wilson and Morgan Roberts placed 1st and 2nd and were nominated to compete at the Broadcom Masters National competition at Silicon Valley, California on October 1-7, 2015

    Lea’s project “Got Salt” placed 1st in the Junior Biological Sciences A category. She won $100 and a plaque. Morgan’s project “Flower Power: Are Dandelions the Next Bio-Fuel?” placed 2nd in the Junior Chemistry category. She won $75 and a plaque plus a $25 gift card.


    Three students from East Hoke Middle School also represented Region 4 and competed in the 2015 North Carolina Science and Engineering State Fair. Kayleigh Creammer competed in the Junior Earth and Environmental category, Sahara Snyder competed in the Junior Chemistry category and Oscar Venegas in the Junior Biological Sciences B.

    The winning projects and their awards are in the Science Lab Room 123 (8th grade hallways). Please come by and check it out.

  • Book Fair Opens Early!
    Happily, our Scholastic Book Fair arrived early and is now open to all!  We open from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.  You can visit our online book fair at http://bookfairs.scholastic.com/homepage/ehms.  Our online book fair will be available until 21 March and all orders will be delivered to the school [no shipping and handling] at the end of the online fair.
