Character Trait of the Month

: the quality that allows someone to continue trying to do something even though it is difficult

Persistence/Diligence -The act or fact of sticking to a purpose or an aim
Endurance -The act or state of preserving; continuing existence
Patience - Capability of calmly awaiting an outcome or result

Tips To Prevent the Spread of the Illnesses

As a precautionary measure, in keeping your child(ren) healthy you  should  keep your child  home for any one or more of the following:    

  • Fever 100 degrees or higher with or without body and muscle aches

  • Nausea, vomiting and/or diarrhea two or more times within a 24 hour period

  • Sore throat, runny/stuffy nose, body aches, headache, chills and/or fatigue

  • Wheezing, difficulty breathing, croupy cough or frequent coughing with or without mucus

  • Your child must be fever and/or diarrhea free for 24 hours without medication before returning to school.

  • Science & Engineering Fair Regional Competition Science and Engineering Fair Regional Competition will be this Saturday, February 21, 2015 at UNC-Pembroke from 7:30 to 4:00 PM. We have 18 students who will be competing in 6 categories. Remind your students that they will have to bring their project display board, project report in a binder and/or project model at the competition site.
