Meet the Media Coordinator

I am excited to continue my role as the Media Coordinator at East Hoke Middle School for the 2026-2027 school year! With 22 years in education and my second year as Media Coordinator, I'm excited about this role because it aligns with my passion for fostering a love of reading and learning.

I graduated from Fayetteville State University in 2005 with a BS in Elementary Education (K-6) and later earned my Master's in Education from the same institution in 2014. I have dedicated 17 years in Hoke County Schools, where last year, I had the honor of coaching our Battle of the Books team, leading us to victory in the District competition. I am looking forward to guiding this year's team as we aim for another successful season!

Additionally, to further enhance my skills, I am currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Library Science at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Thank you all for your continued support as we work together to inspire our students and staff!

We are committed to equipping students, staff, and stakeholders with the resources, technology, and skills essential for fostering lifelong learning. Our library will serve as a welcoming and supportive space that addresses the educational and social-emotional needs of every individual, empowering them to thrive in an interconnected world.

Library & Technology Invoices

I want to take a moment to inform you about important invoicing related to your child's school materials. If your child has any outstanding fees for missing school library books or other book fines, they will receive an invoice for those fees when progress reports and report cards are distributed each quarter. Please be aware that these fines may stem from both your child's elementary school and middle school. In addition to book fines, if your child owes for missing power adapters, Chromebooks, or any other technology, an invoice will also be sent home during the same reporting periods. Again, these invoices may be associated with your child's previous schools.

It is crucial that these invoices are addressed as soon as possible. Until they are settled, they will remain on your child's record. Please note that your child will not be eligible for high school graduation until all fees are resolved. Additionally, any outstanding fees will follow your child to Hoke County High School or Sandhoke Early College High School until the matter is resolved.

Payments can be made in cash directly to me, the Media Coordinator, or online using our OSP payment system. Thank you for your attention to this matter, and for your ongoing support!
